'Back to Earth': Reading from Olaf Stapledon's 'Star Maker' (1937)

A stray thought: Star Maker was published in the same year as The Hobbit. Stapledon and Tolkien, it seems, were looking in very different directions for enlightenment. Perhaps there is an essay to be made out of such a comparison.
